Puppy in pencil

I’ve been working on Twiggy, a Great Dane puppy, for the past couple of days and I’m happy with the progress I have made so far. I say this because I seem to be so unorganised lately that half the time I don’t know whether I’m coming or going.

Twiggy is only a few months old in this photo looking extremely cute and adorable don’t you think? I have seen slightly more recent photos of her and what a difference in size – mind you she is a Great Dane and has a lot of growing to do.

She's gorgeous Laura.

Assume her owners are happy to have her drawn at this age? I'm having a 'mare' at the moment .... drawing 2 brothers from a 3 years old school photo. The drawing is accurate (according to my grid) but I've been told the portrait doesn't look like them (now)!!

Usually, I love my job!!!

Anyway, this is beautiful artwork as usual and I look forward to seeing the updates

Thank you Grahame, Vicki and Sue:)

Sue, yes photo was approved before starting:) She's still a puppy just a bit bigger so still recognisable - will be a nice reminder of how she looked when little:)
Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your portrait - very odd to be given a photo that they were obviously unhappy with regards likeness. Good luck:)

Love this Puppy! You are doing a super job with her Laura. Looking forward to seeing the updates.

(Sue, I feel for you, sometimes it would help if we artists were psychic!)
